Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information ourturnmoss.org collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who we are
ourturnmoss.org is an independent information and comparison website for a US audience. For the purposes of data-protection law we are the "controller" of the personal information described here. You can reach us about privacy at editorial@ourturnmoss.org.
2. What we collect
- Analytics data. When you visit, we and our analytics providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address (often truncated/anonymized), device and browser type, operating system, the pages you view, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from your IP. This is used in aggregate to understand traffic and improve the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for essential functionality, analytics and affiliate tracking. See our cookie policy for the full list and how to control them.
- Contact-form data. If you email us or complete our contact form, we collect the information you provide — your name, email address, subject and message — so we can respond.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not ask for gambling account details, passwords or payment card numbers. Please never send those to us.
3. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain and improve the website and its content.
- To measure and analyze traffic and how our pages perform.
- To attribute affiliate referrals so that partners can credit sign-ups originating from ourturnmoss.org.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To protect the site against fraud, abuse and security threats, and to comply with legal obligations.
Our lawful bases (where applicable) are your consent (for non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (running and improving the site), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Third parties we share with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited data with service providers and partners who help us run the site, including:
- Analytics providers (e.g. privacy-focused or Google-style analytics) that process usage data on our behalf.
- Affiliate networks and operators, which receive click and referral signals (typically via cookies or tracking parameters) when you follow an affiliate link, so a sign-up can be attributed to us. What the operator then collects is governed by the operator's own privacy policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and serve the website.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights and users.
5. Your California rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose about you.
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To the extent our affiliate-tracking cookies constitute "sharing," you can opt out via our cookie controls or a recognized opt-out (Global Privacy Control) browser signal.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
To exercise a California right, email editorial@ourturnmoss.org with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent.
6. Your rights in the EU/UK (GDPR)
If you access ourturnmoss.org from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR (and UK GDPR), including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer data outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards. To make a request, contact editorial@ourturnmoss.org.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described here. Contact-form correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data is retained in aggregate or for the period set by our analytics provider (typically up to 26 months). Cookies expire according to the durations listed in our cookie policy.
8. How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS encryption in transit and access controls, to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
ourturnmoss.org is intended only for adults of legal gambling age (21+, or 18+ where permitted). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and no one underage may use this site. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date reflects the latest revision. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, email editorial@ourturnmoss.org or use our contact form.
Play responsibly
Gambling should be entertainment, never a way to make money. Set a budget and a time limit before you play, and never chase losses. Offshore operators are not part of US state self-exclusion programs — use the operator's own deposit-limit, cool-off and self-exclusion tools.
Free, confidential help (US): National Council on Problem Gambling — call/text 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org. You must be of legal age (18+/21+ per operator) to play.
Tax note: Gambling winnings are taxable income under US federal law and most state laws. Offshore operators generally do not issue W-2G/1099 forms, but you are still required to report winnings — consult a tax professional. ourturnmoss.org is not a tax adviser.
🔞 You must be 21+ (18+ where permitted) to gamble. Gambling involves financial risk and can be addictive — please play responsibly. Help: 1-800-GAMBLER. Operators listed on ourturnmoss.org are licensed in offshore jurisdictions (e.g. Curaçao, Anjouan, Panama) and are not licensed or regulated by any US state gaming authority.
